Thunder Road: Vendetta

Created by Restoration Games

The classic game from 1986 is revved up, reloaded, and ready to go! You will need to add a copy of the base game or the Maximum Chrome edition in order to view the other items to add to your order. Your order will be canceled if it does not have a copy of at least one copy of them.

Latest Updates from Our Project:

Back from Origins + All Packages Shipped Out
10 months ago – Wed, Jun 28, 2023 at 01:53:07 PM

I hit the Licensing Expo in Las Vegas and immediately turned around and headed to Columbus for the Origins Game Fair. Thunder Road: Vendetta was a huge hit there. We had managed to snag a few copies of Maximum Chrome to sell at the booth, and they were gone in the first few hours, and the base game wasn't far behind. We ran demos all con long, and everyone had a great time. By many accounts, it was the hit of the show.

I'm back at my desk now and happy to update you all on the status of fulfillment.

The short version is that all shipments have been sent out. That's not to say that they've all be received yet. In principle, if you haven't received your game yet, you should have received a shipping notice. (Please double check your spam folder.) If you haven't received your game or a shipping notice (and already triple-checked your spam folder), please email [email protected], and we'll get to the bottom of things. With Origins, we are a bit behind on customer service comms, so please give us a couple of extra days to reply to any inquiries.

Importantly, we're not all done until everyone officially has their game, all lost and damaged shipments have been rectified, and you all are running and gunning.

Some of you have asked when we might have extra stock on our website. We wanted to make sure we had enough stock to fulfill replacement orders and such, but we are working to get what little remaining stock we have on the website soon. My guess would be in the next few weeks, probably right around Gen Con (where we will also have some copies available). The fact is that the game has proven to be very popular, so stock is in short supply. We have a new print run of the base game already in the works, and we are also looking at how we can get another run of Maximum Chrome done. We hope to have more news on that in the next few weeks as well. Keep in mind, even if we did something right now, it would be several months until we had any stock.

Fulfillment Update + Max Chrome Pack-Up Video
11 months ago – Wed, May 17, 2023 at 01:18:55 PM

As most of you know, fulfillment in the US is well underway. In fact, it's largely complete for the lower 48 states. If you're in that group and haven't received your game or gotten a shipping notice, please contact Quartermaster Logistics and ask them to follow up on your order. Canada and some of the more distant addresses will start showing up on doorsteps over the next week or so. Meanwhile, the other hubs are still gearing up to get their shipments going. We expect the other hubs to start shipping out by the end of May / beginning of June.

For those who have gotten their games, we're hearing lots of great feedback. Stephen Buonocuore posted this very nice review over on Board Game Geek. If you're still waiting on your game, that should get you pretty excited. A couple of things regarding Maximum Chrome....

First, we have a very small bit of errata: The rules for the German Engineering mini-expansion say "At the end of three rounds, after all players have moved, all players should usually have one card remaining in their hand." In fact, a round is when all players have taken three turns, so that rule should read "At the end of the round..." instead. Sorry for the confusion.

Second, folks have been raving about the insert. But a few people weren't sure where the command boards for the Big Rig and the Final Five should go. They fit nicely in the well beneath the crew leader command boards from the Choppe Shoppe expansion. I also made a very rough video showing where everything goes if that helps (apologies for the vertical video).

One final note: Someone pointed out that we hadn't mentioned anything about the dice rolling app stretch goal that we unlocked. Well, that's because we completely forgot about it. So we've jumped into action and are working with the developer to get it done. I'll hopefully have a timetable for that in the next update.

Fulfillment Update + Dice Tower Spring Spectacular
about 1 year ago – Mon, Apr 17, 2023 at 09:39:51 AM

Let's not bury the lede: All of the inventory is at all of the fulfillment hubs. We have exported all of the addresses and are currently doing our "spot check" to make sure there are no issues. Meanwhile, our fulfillment partners are finalizing their packaging process for the various order configurations and preparing to slot them into their shipping queues. All of which is to stay that fulfillment will be starting any day now. Please bear in mind that some fulfillment hubs might start sooner than others. In particular, it is likely that the US/Canada/Other hub will start the latest of the group. Somebody's got to be last, right? We'll continue to update as specific hubs spin up.

A brief update to address the situation with Barnes & Noble. The official street date for the game, i.e., when it will be available to the public, is May 31. As some of you discovered, the game was briefly available at one of their stores and online in advance of the actual street date. This is the retail edition, which does not include the Extra Ammo expansion pack or wash on the vehicles. It arrived earlier at PSI, our regular fulfillment partner, and is separate from the KS edition items. B&N recently changed their policy to immediately place product on their shelves absent a specific order to hold for the street date. We discovered this policy when they jumped the date for one of our Unmatched releases. We then advised PSI to give them an order on all future products to hold for the street date. The person at PSI who was responsible for doing that forgot to do that for the TRV shipment. We notified them immediately, and B&N pulled the game from their shelves and website. We're sorry for the oversight.

While you're waiting for the game to arrive, if you want another look at the game in action (and a much more professional production than my iPhone), the Dice Tower crew have selected TRV to close out their Spring Spectacular that kicked off today. They'll be streaming the game at the end of the noon EDT block on Thursday, April 20th on their YouTube channel. You can sign up on the stream page to be notified when it goes live.

Streaming Maximum Chrome Tomorrow!
about 1 year ago – Fri, Mar 17, 2023 at 05:57:41 AM

Been a busy month or so for me, but I was finally able to squeeze some time in this weekend with my game group, so we'll be able to stream a full unboxing and playthrough of Maximum Chrome. I'm planning on streaming tomorrow, Saturday, March 18, starting at noon ET on our twitch channel if you want to watch live. Or you can always watch the video on our YouTube channel later after I repost it. Maybe we'll let folks in the chat help us decide which modules and expansions to try out.

As for fulfillment, not much to report there. The stock for the Australian hub has reached AEtherworks. They'll need some time to process everything and get it in their queue, but games should start to ship soon. For the other shipments, no news is good news, as they make their way to the hubs.

Keep Your Eyes to the Horizon

Just a quick update to give some info for those of you who like to track the boats on the water. Here we go:

Obviously, there are a number of steps from when they hit port until they get to your door, but the timeline is holding up quite well, so keep those fingers crossed. We'll update when shipments start to go out to backers.
